Choose Kindness—Even When You’re Stressed

I don’t handle stress well—at all. My mom often says I inherited the “King (her maiden name) women temper.” And not only do I have a short fuse, but I deal with severe migraines that are often brought on by stress. When I’ve got a migraine, all I want to do is turn off all the lights and lay in silence until it subsides.

My gut reaction during these times of pain and stress is to snap at anyone who tries to talk to me. And that the person, unfortunately, is usually my lovely husband . . .
