Through Rain and Passing Seasons {A Marriage Poem}

Marriage Poems Michelle Lindsey September 6, 2013

Your heart and my heart
Stitched together
Forever is their destination and they climb the same mountain.
They twist and pull but never tear,
One falls, one lifts, and they walk on

Your heart and my heart
Held tight and fast
Resemble the ones from us, and the ones that will be
Their eyes and smiles will us forward
Through rain and sun and passing seasons

Your heart and my heart
Carry sorrow and joy
They reflect the difficult journey
But prove it is a worthy endeavor
We don’t let go; we dance and crawl towards truth
